Carbine

Without a doubt the modern carbine is an unbelievably versatile, highly maneuverable and easy to shoot weapon, making it an ideal tool for self-defense. The reality is, both men and women shoot better with a carbine than they do with a handgun. Being effective from contact distance out to 300 yards, the modern carbine will easily outperform the handgun in accuracy, firepower, and capacity. Let's face it, in the real world we all want 30 rounds of high-powered ammo in our magazines.

It is often said that pistols point faster and miss more often, but with the average person being able to get a carbine on target and shots fired accurately in less than one-second, the advantage over the handgun becomes clear. The carbine generates minimal recoil that can be easily controlled by most shooters and this translates into more valuable time on target. In a dynamic situation every second counts and can make the difference between outcomes. The carbine can be a difference maker because of speed on target and greater accuracy for the average person. When coupled with a red-dot or low-power optic you won't need to align sights like you do with your handgun and that is a huge advantage. When the carbine is setup properly it is far easier to stay proficient than it is with iron sights on a pistol - and that is a fact.

No matter which weapon system you choose for personal and home defense you must spend time on your own and under the direction of a professional Latent Force instructor. Every person must put in the time and effort fighting through the loading, malfunctions and shooting positions that will be encountered while using the carbine in order to become an effective defensive shooter. That is why we developed our Latent Force Carbine series of courses. The end result will be you having developed confidence in your skills and the ability to use your carbine effectively in a critical and dynamic situation, should it ever arise.
