Course Description:
You have just completed your introductory level firearms courses, now what? This is a critical time when students need to continue establishing good foundational habits that reinforce the fundamentals. In order to avoid bad habits that will stick around for a lifetime of shooting, which translates to increased training time to undue bad habits and learn things correctly all over again, we developed Pistol 1. With that said, hitting the target is no longer the expectation in Pistol 1, proper shot placement and proficient gun handling skill-sets are what we are after.

Upon completion of Pistol 1 your skill-set should now allow you to start logically breaking down your own results and determine what steps need to be taken to improve them, graduating you to a problem solving gun fighter.

Pistol 1 was developed to create gunfighters and bridge the training gap between introductory courses and those that focus on tactics. This is accomplished by developing the foundational weapon manipulation skills to a level that sets you up for success in future classes ensuring that you are not working beyond your abilities.

With a strong focus on marksmanship and weapon manipulations under stress, Pistol 1 will help you find areas to improve accuracy and gun handling skills while simultaneously performing the needed repetitions to begin developing motor skills that must be performed subconsciously in a defensive encounter.

Make no mistake - this is not a new shooter class and is faced paced, physically demanding, and will challenge shooters of all skill levels. You should already understand and be able to correctly perform the foundational weapon manipulations - Pistol 1 should not be the first time you have been exposed to these concepts.

A minimum of 300 rounds of factory ammunition for handgun is necessary.
