What to bring for pistol class
Factory ammunition required - No RELOADS are allowed in this course. Be sure to verify the requirements and round count in the course description. Mini or pocket type pistols are not allowed in this class. There will be malfunction drills and drawing from the holster in this class so a holster is required - leather or nylon snap-type holsters are not allowed. Appendix carry must be pre-approved by the Chief Instructor before being allowed in class. Weapon mounted lights are acceptable for pistol courses. Hearing and Eye Protection is Required. Minimum age for this class is 18.
- Minimum 500 rounds
- Firearms must be fully functional and have all factory safety devices
- Properly fitted rigid holster for handgun that completely covers the trigger
- Minimum of 5 "Dummy Rounds" or "Snap Caps" is required for your handgun caliber
- Minimum of 3 working magazines or speed loaders and pouch
- Handheld flashlight with a tail cap switch capable of constant or intermittent "ON"
- Electronic hearing protection is highly recommended
- Eye protection is required - wrap around style are recommended
- Hat with a bill is required
- Basic cleaning and maintenance kit for your specific caliber of firearm
