Paul Lowe - Lead Instructor

Paul brings nearly three decades of teaching and knowledge of firearms, ballistics and history to his professional, low pressure and easy to understand instructor style. As an avid hunter Paul took his enjoyment of big game hunting and became an Arizona Hunter Education instructor in 1987. This gave him the opportunity to share his hunting experience with others that shared a similar interest and started him down a path that would cover almost 30 years.

Seeing the necessity for students to learn how to take their personal safety seriously, Paul expanded his firearms instruction to personal protection and by 1991 he was certified by the NRA as a rifle, pistol, and shotgun instructor. He also took this opportunity in his career to become both an NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home instructor along with an NRA certified Range Safety Officer(RSO).

Since 1994 Paul has been certified as a law enforcement firearms instructor, and during that time he has been conducting firearms academies and specialty classes for his agency, to hundreds of students each year, for handgun, patrol rifle and shotgun. With a wide breadth of knowledge on firearms, ATF and NFA requirements, Paul is a valuable resource to students when they are looking for information on selection of firearms and ammunition for personal and home defense. He has a soft spot for collecting old military arms because he believes handling and shooting such an important part of our heritage and history helps to expose others to the weapons that formed the modern firearm. If you’re lucky, you just might see and shoot a weapon that few have the opportunity to.

“I get personal satisfaction from imparting on others the knowledge that I have gained over all the years. To be able to share with others what I enjoy so much and to see how it helps develop their confidence as a shooter is very rewarding” Paul replies when asked why he continues to teach after all these years.
